Well, I would definitely point out that holistic development of child needs proper knowledge of all subjects. I would properly address the benefits of studying history, civics and geography and would try and convince the parents that now the world is changing at a rapid pace now and only studying maths and would take their child not much far in career.

But I believe that center of my discussion to sell the social studies package would be pointing out that if understood this subject well could help your child in preparation of UPSC CSE(IAS EXAM - layman term). Well I could fully compare the syllabus of UPSC EXAM right in front of them and would convince them that right time to plant a tree is NOW.
