After the second round of JEE Main, my percentile was 94.6, and I had a high rank. I couldn't secure a seat in a good NIT with a decent branch. I had to compromise, and the other main goal was the IITs. It felt like I had underperformed in JEE Main, and I knew JEE Advanced would be even more challenging. When I received the results of the second JEE Main, all my friends had performed better than me, and my parents and I were quite upset. However, there was something inside me that refused to give up. With only 15 or 20 days left until JEE Advanced, I started studying at that moment. I didn't care about what my family members were saying; I was determined. I focused primarily on chemistry and watched numerous tutorials. I couldn't let go of that glimmer of hope.

On the day of the exam, I was nervous but determined. I entered the exam hall and gave it my all. I was so focused that even a disturbance from an invigilator startled me, but I quickly regained my composure. After the first exam, I was feeling confident and ready for the second. I maintained my focus and gave it my best. I left the exam hall feeling content and happy. However, as the days passed, the answer key was released, and I struggled to tally my score. I asked a friend to calculate my score, and to my disappointment, I found out that I had not crossed the cutoff.

I shared this news with my family, and everyone was upset. I had prepared for three years, and it felt like all my hard work had gone to waste. They stopped talking to me, and my brother and I had to take care of our own meals. Then, one day, as I was cooking, the results were declared. I asked my brother to check my result, and I was calm yet slightly nervous. When he said, "You did it," I couldn't believe it. I was overwhelmed with joy and couldn't wait to share the news with my family. My mother reached out to touch me, but I asked her not to and simply smiled. In the evening, my father returned home, and we told him about my success. His reaction was subdued, as fathers often are, but deep down, I knew he must be proud.
