Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: First I did it based on my previous experience of making resume wherever I had applied for jobs.   Then I also looked at how others students are doing it. Then I modified my resume wherever I felt appropriate (sequence of information etc.) as per these.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was a direct interview. Final offers were given to 5 people. First stage was technical . Out of some 14 – 15 candidates, 5 were shortlisted as I remember. Then HR interview was conducted.First I was asked about my education, experience etc. Then about my M Tech project. Thereafter, Power systems related qus. After that something very basic from related subjects (Digital electronics, Programming etc.)
Tips: For interview, I prepared on my own. I read some technical stuff related to field of work / job profile of the company.   Although we may able to answer general (non technical, personal ) qus on the spot, I think its better to prepare that thing also a little bit .

General Tips: In GD of one of the companies, I lacked aggressiveness which was reqd. in presence of other too aggressive students appeeared in that group. Also in aptitude test of some other company, I should have guessed some qus, instead of thinking too much on the difficult qus.  Dressing should be descent and formal. But don't have too much attention or worriedness. Have a peace of mind. Don't think too much about your failure in previous interviews , other students comments and complexes arising out of that. This will reduce ur confidence in the things you are good at
