5 Interview Rounds
Interview Preparation Tips
Round: Test
Experience: In this round there were different sessions including logical, technical questions on Networking, Operating Systems, etc. Out of all this part logical was easy and requires medium practice of quants. In technical all technical subject knowledge was checked at medium level, If you are form COMPUTER/IT/MCA then a quick revision to important subjects is required and most of the thing can be solved by common sense. It also had coding part in it, We were given two codes one which was easy and the other was bit tough. We were allowed to use online IDE’s.
Round: Group Discussion
Experience: In this we were divided in to group of 6-7 people and were given simple topic. The other topics were not very technical. Out of that students were selected.
Tips: IMP points for GD for Xoriant :1) If you start be sure that you are really good at it and can continue conversation for a while, otherwise don’t take a chance.2) Do speak politely with audible voice, and please don’t create fish market and do give chance for others to speak.3) Try to bring some good points and be expressive.4) Do be ready with a conclusion, as individual conclusion were asked.
Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It is really very important of all as most eliminations are done in this and GD round. Do not fake yourself, be confident and try to speak about your projects if they are good. They will ask you basic code like factorial. Remember if you are highlighting your projects the next question will be about your role in it.
Tips: Do try to talk about new technology if you are working on any. They just want to see the SPARK in you, that’s it .Sell yourself good. Do practice basic codes please.
Round: HR Interview
Experience: This was very smooth yet very important round. They are very frank with you, but please be wise and don’t go into that flow. They asked me about my family and my interests and about my projects. Please try to show them that you are doing some-thing that is important and you have the learning attitude. As, I was in ROBOCON, they asked me lot about how I used to handle the extra-circular activity, some questions on leader-ship. After that I was asked to leave.After some time they again called me, and asked whether I was comfortable with the job at Pune. Which I undoubtedly replied yes. And after the interviews were done they announced the results and three students were selected.

Experience: The aptitude test was online.It consisted of MCQs on Networking, DBMS,OS, C and Java in general. Also there were two coding questions. Try to answer as much questions as you can, and code for at least one question.They are simple coding questions.
Round: Group Discussion
Experience: This was followed by a group discussion among 10 people. Pitch in relevant points and try to give illustrations. The judges were very interactive and provided feedback after the GD.
Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The technical round revolved around OOPS concepts,algorithms, C and Java.I was asked if I had watched Inception, when I said yes, the interviewer asked me which algorithm did I think was used behind dreams within dreams. I answered that any recursively written algorithm can be used, and it was basically nesting. He was quite satisfied. Then I was asked to write simple Armstrong number and prime number codes as well. It was a fairly simple round.

Experience: The HR person grilled me a lot about my blog and committee work.Normal HR questions about hobbies and family background were also asked. Overall, it went quite nicely. Just be confident and go with the flow.Xoriant is fully into product based engineering,so it is a good opportunity to grow technically.
