Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The test covered all good topics of the subjects, were interesting to solve, and could be completed in time. the aptitude questions were logical.
Tips: Maintain your pace and concentration since starting so that you can finish all questions with satisfaction and confidence. Questions aren't that difficult to solve if you have clear basic knowledge of the subject.
Duration: 210 minutes
Total Questions: 80

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The interviewer was more interested in my way of approach rather than the answer, which is quite helpful. As the questions were something which anyone could answer, may be my approach is something which gave me a lead.
Tips: Be calm, its ok to not know an answer just explain the way you are proceeding and think out loud. It need not neccesarily be a very high funda thing, be honest with your thought process, don't fake it to be very high funda, keep it simple instead.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The HR was quite frank and made me feel comfortable. She started a conversation rather than an Q/A session.
Tips: Just be yourself, and talk as much as you can. they try to judge your character within that limited time, and honesty is something given a lot of importance. Try to link questions to your stories - your life incidences which are on the lines of thee questions. Don't sound confused when asked questions such as - Why TI ? or Do you want to pursue research?
Have a clear idea of what you have done in life ( at least for what mentioned in resume) , should imply that you have made a choice, or given decent though for pursuing something. Maintain eye contact, be calm, and confident.

General Tips: Be confident and be yourself
Skill Tips: Know your subjects, brush them up if required.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Overall the test was easy. Each section carries 20 questions. with more emphasis on analog part i.e.., some of the questions in the digital involving the concepts of analog design. one could easily crack the test if they have basic knowledge in amplifiers, capacitors and bode plots and frequency responses
Tips: Go thorough through the basics of amplifiers and frequency response bode plots from digital signal processing as many questions are concentrated on them.
Duration: 2hrs minutes
Total Questions: 60

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The questions asked were not highly but completely based on the basics of the subject. They test you on how much knowledge one has on the basics of the capacitor and inductor circuits along with amplifiers and negative feedback
Tips: My suggestion would be go through the EMC course as it from the basics for the interview and also have a look on networks and systems course if you are going to analog domain

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The HR round will be too peace. It was mainly based on the points you written in resume.
Tips: Before writing a point in resume think why you are writing that point what have you gained by doing that thing and also why have you done that thing.
Note: Know the meaning of your name and go to the HR round

General Tips: Go through the basics of circuit solving, rise time and fall time concepts.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The aptitude questions were easy. 100% score in the aptitude part won't be a problem.
The Analog part was tough. There were questions mostly on circuits with nMOS, pMOS and BJT. Also a lot of LCR circuit based questions were there.
The Digital part was moderate. Some basic logic questions, K-map solving, delay calculation were there.
Tips: I don't think any special preparation is required for the aptitude part. Also, during exam its good to start with the aptitude part.
For analog and digital part, proper knowledge of electric and magnetic circuits, analog circuits and digital circuits is required.
Duration: 2 hours minutes
Total Questions: 60

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: I got selected for the digital profile and so only questions related to digital circuits were asked to me. During the technical interview, the questions asked were easy and very basic. Just a quick revision of digital circuits course enabled me to answer most of the questions correctly.
Tips: Before going to the interview, make sure that you revise the digital circuits course, at least the basic part if not everything.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The HR experience was awesome. Questions asked were interesting and I loved answering them.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The test has three parts , Analog, Digital and aptitude. Every part has 20 questions . The technical parts are of slightly higher difficulty than what is taught generally. For the aptitude part, the questions are pretty straightforward and are simple enough to do .
Tips: Check out video lectures on IITM VLSI page for analog courses.
Duration: 120 minutes
Total Questions: 60

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: The questions for Digital profile are simple and if you brush through any digital systems book like Morris Mano, then you will be able to answer all the questions. For some students they asked two rounds and for others they only had one.
Tips: Keep your cool. The questions will be very logical So if you don't know it ,you can solve it there

Round: HR Interview
Experience: The HR interview has questions like Why TI? Where did you hear about TI first? What inspired you to be an engineer ? What are your plans for further studies ? etc.
Tips: It is supposed to be more like a conversation than an interview. So be yourself and know about your interests because if you can't answer questions about your life , then that is not a good sign.

General Tips: Talk to them . After the interview before you leave get to know a little about them like their name and other things. Since they asked you so much about yourself it does make sense to ask them back so that you will learn a little more about the company and their attitude.
Skill Tips: They only tested if you can think on your feet.
Duration: Two
College Name: IIT Madras
Motivation: It is one of the best Core companies in Electrical and Electronics that invests heavily in R&D . So I was motivated to apply

3 Interview Rounds

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: The selection procedure is a test followed by tech interview and an HR interview.
The test had two parts:
 Aptitude (common across all profiles)
 A tech. test (separate for each profile)

Round: Interview
Experience: The tech interview was the important one and the HR interview was just about knowing the student and vice-versa. The tech interview was more concentrated on the basics and more importance was given to the approach of solving the problem rather than solving the problem itself.
No CGPA cutoff.

Round: Interview
Experience: Not very important.

General Tips: The work is well structured and executed. There is a lot of opportunity for more technical learning. Interns are also included into the teams and this helps the intern on knowing about the things going around them and gets an overall view of how things work.
As a whole, the work is very good, and exceeds all the expectations of the students.
