Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: To appear for test CG cut off -7.0. English and Basic aptitude/logical reasoning questions were asked. Basic coding questions and identifying errors in the program were there.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: It was a 30-40 minutes round where questions were asked resume-based. Aerospace students were asked basic aero questions based on Navier Stokes equation, etc. There were no coding questions.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: It was a 15 minutes round where only some standard questions were asked.

Skill Tips: Courses in control systems might help but are not compulsory.Just describe one or two projects from your courses & BTP, which should be enough.Ensure that you know about the company well. BTP was very useful in my interview for Honeywell, it is not in their area of interest but he was just impressed by the project details. If you are applying for a core interview BTPs will definitely help.
Skills: Basic coding knowledge, Good aptitude, Willing to learn new things.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Questions asked were from basic civil engineering. They were not just structural but from other streams as well. Mostly structural were expected so that was a bit disappointing. English was bit difficult, long passages for comprehension were given. Aptitude was easy enough. The filling of form between the test with general information about one self was a bit annoying.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: No problems were asked to solve neither any BMD'S were asked to be drawn. Resume was looked at and asked what was taught in some courses, some details of the project being worked on as well. It was a friendly talk than an interview. Then a few simple questions were asked.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Firstly was asked to introduce himself. Details about family and siblings and what they are doing were also asked. Some other general questions like, hobbies, how much are you interested, what are your future plans etc were also asked. Interview didn't seem like it was critical, it was easy.

4 Interview Rounds

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Test
Experience: Objective part of the test had total 10 questions and weren't any basic questions. The questions were hard for those who didn't do any related course.Subjective part had questions regarding proofs from graph theory, algorithms and Stochastic process questions.  E.g.: If the probability of an insect dying from time t to t+dt is a function f (t)(which is given). What is the expected time of survival of insect/how many insects would still be surviving at the end of a certain interval of time. Step marks were awarded in the subjective part of test,so it was okay even if your answer isn't correct.I answered only 2 out of 12 subjective questions.
Tips: Don't leave in between the test.
Duration: 180 minutes

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: 3-4 rounds of interviews were held, 35 minutes each round.Questions asked in interview depended on which objective section you have answered in the test.I had attempted maths so Maths puzzle questions were asked. Questions kept on getting tougher.    Interviewer asked a question and left the room. We had to get the answer before he came back.

Round: HR Interview
Experience: Only two candidates had HR interviews and this seemed random. The only common denominator being that they both took part in GS Quantify.Interviewers were friendly and helpful and if we asked questions in return, they showed curiosity.

General Tips: Doing a course on Discreet Mathematics will help a lot with the test and revise that before the test.Do a lot of puzzles before appearing for this interview.
Skill Tips: Mention any math course except for the compulsory ones,MA101&102 in your resume. If your minor is Management or Economics mention it and mention any online finance courses if done.Highlight any achievements and attending the McKinsey resume workshop will be very useful.
Skills: Out of the box thinking., How well you can think under pressure., How can you adapt the solution to a simple problem to a much larger/complex one.
