Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: After the customary " Tell my about Yourself" and "Why Barclays?", I was asked about my previous internship ( which was in IT domain ) and an android game that I had made. I just explained both of them completely and gave the interviewer a demo of my game.
Tips: Having points in your resume (projects, internships etc.) that prove your coding aptitude definitely helps. Explain everything completely with full clarity along with all the steps you took, the things you learned and most importantly the difficulties faces and how you overcame them. ( I spoke for 15 to 20 mins straight)

General Tips: Speak confidently and be positive. Also shake your interviewer's hand.
Skill Tips: You mostly wont be tested on coding if you have projects as a proof of your skill.
Skills: Big Data Analytics, Analytical Skills, Basic Coding, IT Skills, Ability To Deliver On A Project
Duration: 2
College Name: IIT Madras
Motivation: Global exposure, best in terms of stipend and other facilities.
Funny Moments: I had to run all the way back to my hostel mid interview as I wasn't having my game in my phone initially.

Interview Preparation Tips

Round: Resume Shortlist
Experience: We had to answer three questions while filing our application. The questions were:1. What do you understand about our Company Values? Give an example of how you have demonstrated one or more of our Values.2. Why have you chosen to apply to this particular role and why at Barclays?3. Describe a recent development in the banking industry.
Tips: Don't copy the answers to these questions directly from the internet or from your friend. They will be short listing based on your responses.

Round: Test
Experience: Here you are given different scenarios and out of the four options given you have to choose the most likely and least likely response to that situation. It is fairly simple. You have to answer 40 questions in less than 20 minutes.  The level of difficulty in the second around is the same as the first one.

Round: Group Activity
Experience: We had two group activities, the first was a Group Case study. Groups of 5 or 6 students were made. The GD was about Barclays taking over a company which had high net worth people which used Aurelia software. The software was good but it was badly coded. So you had few flow charts with the cost, which was used in order to shift this high net worth people on the Barclays Platform. You could also make a new flow chart too but then you had to specify cost. This was the same topic which our seniors had during their process.
The second one was a Group Exercise - a Strategy game called Slide and Score. Here team work and coordination is more important. Just follow the rules. They will give you some time to practice the game as well

Round: Other Interview
Experience: SBI round. It was a rapid fire round where recruiter would shoot questions and you would have to answer them. 45 questions had to be answered. The key to this interview is to be honest and just be yourself. In the end the interviewer shall ask you if you have any question. Always ask a question and a good one.

Round: Technical Interview
Experience: Here I was mostly asked questions based on my resume. Then in detail about the various joins and keys in database, a lot about data structures and about my projects. Here also in the end they will ask if you have any questions so always have one or two questions prepared to ask them.

Round: Other Interview
Experience: Online Technical tests. They say, this are only for their information, in order to know how much an employee knows. Basics of C, Java and SQL are there. There are around 10-15 questions in each section. It is fairly simple.

Skills: Database, Data structures
