Supporting each other through the ups and downs of work life

Day to Day Office

I’m 32M, working at [HCLTech](hcl-technologies) 60K in hand, with personal and home loans. My parents are forcing me into marriage due to societal pressure.

The girl isn’t working, unsure if she will, and her family demands a lavish wedding we can’t afford....we’re even taking loans for it. I begged to postpone, but no one listens.

I asked her to cancel she refuses. She ignores my calls but sweet talks my family, even lying that we’re getting along. We’re complete opposites in lifestyle, values, and personality.

I’ve tried everything even acting like a red flag but she won’t back out. Am I stuck? What should I do?

The projects with them are just CAD and sustenance, no scope of growth with these.
Christian, the CEO, likes to micromanage the people a lot and in the name of discussions just takes away the time and that sometimes causes extensions unnecessarily.

Only positive is it's 8 hours working including lunch of 30 mins, so you get a good work-life balance.

Terrible company no importance given to the employee, if you work in project handled by Christian (CEO) then never expect your inputs would be taken, he would expect his employee not to question him and just listen and do what he wants to do and would put the project in trouble by changing all the inputs of the client.

Engineering Manager

Good scope of learning if you are in development projects. Healthy work environment and supporting colleagues.

The CEO doesn't have any vision. He just treats his employees as daily wage labours. Doesn't take any inputs from anyone what ever he thinks he want it to be done irrespective of the feasibility and needs of the projects. Due to this there are no stable projects and due to unnecessary calls which he will have daily with engineers will kill the efficiency and makes delay in working. Over all a terrible company. Inspite of working with all these issues salary will not be credited on time and will be getting it somewhere in mid of the month.

Assistant Manager

To much of politics. Managers are not nurturing but will try to discourage you. Managers will grab all the attention for your work done. You have to bend over and work. No respect for subordinates. Work environment is very bad.

Assistant Engineering Manager

Not very challenging and tough. there should be some analysis and simulation as well.

one may get to work on various CAD software. work life balance is good.

Sometimes it hard to speak with senior staff bcz they think themselves they know everything and won't listen to others and they think there is some kind of system placed in this company but there is nothing like that.

No benifits for employees,job security is also less. If you don't have a project you will be fired.

Dont have any benifits you will get salary only. This company fit for the freshers not for Experience people.

Job is quite intresting but if you go in deep no benifits for you interms of hikes and other benifits.

Badarinath horrible managing director, if he is feeling compitetion from you, he will send you out, He is from IIT Madars, I really have a doubt he is an IITan, he needds only fools work around him not smart people. he is brining down the company.
