Considering a Career Switch from Mechanical Engineering to IT – Need Advice
I am a mechanical engineer with 4 years of experience in product design using CAD tools. However, I feel that my technical knowledge is lacking, and I often struggle to clear the technical rounds in interviews. Despite my experience, my current salary is quite low (around 3-4 LPA), which is comparable to what freshers in the IT industry are earning.
Considering this, I am thinking about switching to the IT industry for better opportunities and growth.
I would appreciate your opinions and advice on whether transitioning to IT is a good idea, and if so, what steps I should take to make this change successfully.
