No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

work at vigyaan industries is well cultured and learnt a lot in 1year about the things comes under me like testing of materials, dimensions of the castings, sand testing to find AFS, spectro lab for test sample and laddle sample for chemical composition. I love the fact that i am a part of A team that markets reliable. High quality castings. As a result i get to travel BEML Devisions at Mysore and KGF.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent, but growth is slow. The work pressure is high. Sometimes, I have to work 14-16hours straight in a day as I have to attend the dispatch work and sometimes late into the night. Which is a pain sometimes.
