1. Manegement is very responsive. You can talk to all boss in the organization if you have an issue 2. performence based bonuses. stock or cash if you are good appriasal. (not good if bad appriasal) 3. young team and very smart and it is great learning experience 4. The first few employees of the firm are still with the company from first day and are doing very well. They are great teacher to me 5. the 2 tech manegers are good teachers. learnt a lot of now technolegies 6. Work from home even now 7. all policy process is defined, and uploaded on internal website. onbording they share all links.

Dislikes

1. Slow in firing incompetent ppl, they dont take strong decision to replace ppl. they just dont pay them bonus. 2. No option to work from office when i wanted to, as it was a security risk. 3. too much training for aml, change manegement, incident, compliance. waste too much time

Its a dream job for any techie who wants to build stuff from scratch. Its not a place for average coders.

Dislikes

Nothing. Below review by "Vice President engineering" is fake review by a junior engineer who got terminated recently for moonlighting (doing two jobs at the same time illegally). SynOption doesn't have titles like "VP" and all senior staff are still here, no one left!

Nothing . its not a company like a small shop. if you want play with your carrier then join otherwise don't join this 4th class company

no job security. any time can lost your job no hr policies no any any single facility no appraisal only work work work day and night even Saturday and Sunday no any relieving letter after left the job

Likes

It’s a small company yet very organised and forward. Their tech is very advanced so technically I gained great learning experience. Culture is nice, we usually stick to work, have great work-life balance and meet the entire team once a year in some nice location and party together. No unnecessary drama and work politics. It’s owned by Singaporeans and hence very efficient in every aspect.

Dislikes

India is a vast country and a mixed bag of talent. Many company from companies that have bad culture and bring those bad habits with them. So I suggest that HR shouldn’t just focus on tech skills but also on the nature and personality of candidates and rejects the ones that look problematic

I joined SynOption a couple of years back and immediately benefited from hands-on mentorship in devops and development. Unlike many Indian firms that have pulled back WFH flexibility, SynOption still lets us work from home, which is invaluable for focus and work-life balance. I am grateful for supportive culture and highly recommend them to any aspiring engineer.
