...egotiation and shore staff try to give least of the benefits meant for the crew. Now a days timely crew change is also a big issue, everywhere it's cost cutting all the time ,no hotel stays after hectic and long flights, cheap accommodation and food are some of the grave issues that synergy needs to look into. The shore staff must understand that if the management is making any policy for the benefit of seafarers same needs to implemented, should also reply to any mail subject to grievance rather than throwing it into the bin.

...ng at times with frequent seminars, webinars and get togethers. Loyalty bonuses. And good salary at par with the market standards.

Dislikes

I think company needs to reduce paper work on-board and go complete paperless. That is the need of the hour. Especially duplication/triplication of the on-board docs to be abandoned. This will reduce management staffs workload and they could focus more on technical aspects instead of clerical aspects.

Overall the experience here is good, but manager and director level are marine background so there is no scope of growth for non mariners, else the working environment is really good, helpful people.

Well, first and foremost, I would say the company's overall reputation drew me in. I've been in synergy past 8 years and the company has always been an industry leader. Fast growing company which helps me to gain more knowledge and skills to explore myself. It is a great privilege for anyone to work in a well reputed company like synergy. In 2015 i believed its a best platform for me to enhance my skills.

The work culture is very dynamic and the company has a flat hierarchy, the organisation is poised grow and succeed at its goals. I feel the company has a lot to offer to young people and is very open an flexible work culture.

Dislikes

A lack of clarity on reporting structure and ownership for some projects. Typical resistance to digitalisation versus maintaing status quo, would be better to have more team meetings where people get to discuss and promote each of their ideas. Sometimes there is a lot of unspoken resentment which could be rather dealt with openly.
