This is hell, enter with you at your own risk. You can be asked to leave at any moment by giving a lame excuse, not related to your performance. They don't have any business plan or future thinking, just running blindfolded. Stay away if you need job security, transparency, truthfulness, etc.

Dislikes

No likes at all, you will see micro-managers at all levels. Politics within the team and inter-teams defeat the purpose. At some moment they will talk about expanding to foreign countries, and some moments later you will get to know the company doesn't even have money to survive in India. Co-founders take them in very high regard and don't even bother about what's going on, never communicate, not even on e-mail. I humbly request Stockal to shut the shop or stop fooling around.

They lay off employees with severance and without any notice which gives u a hard time searching for other job. If you try to communicate same with HR, he just says,” it’s company’s decision, I can’t help it”. Worst ever HR. Not at all an employee person

People are very very good. Nothing will ever look corny or bad. Everyone is open to help and most importantly they also understand you and will help to a greater extent than anybody else would do. HR is amazing. I was very comfortable talking to her. You will receive good time to complete work. If you are not able to meet deadline they will extend it always but you should try to be competent.

Last moment work. Unorganized and undocumented. Lack of communication. Frequent changes in features. Won't sustain for long or even if it does it won't come up as a unicorn. The funding rounds are very small. bleak prospects for future. Very bad at marketing.

I initially liked the company culture and the way it mentioned it treated their employees.

Dislikes

Company politics is high and it is played in a dirty manner. Managers say nice things but actually they lay down a trap for you to make a mistake unknowingly and will keep blaming you for the mistake.

The work culture is good overall. The management is supportive. Being a 5-year old start-up, the work distribution is dynamic which is quite interesting in terms of learning. Interestingly, the company is hiring actively in this pandemic, which, prima facie, is a good sign.

Any start-up has it's own pros and cons. While job security is always on top of the mind of any employee, sometimes work-life balance is also a dislike factor.
