New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

...re terminated. I know a employee who was on maternity leave has been terminated. Though as per law they paid compensation but I don't think it was right. Horrible policy.

...ry good but not 100% employees friendly. We can grow work wise and balance life. Very good in compensation and bonus for employees even though company not making good profit.

There is no much opportunities to explore.

compensation is not up to the qualification. And growth is very, low,the pressure giving by the management is horrible.Managers do not have the value and manager not even considering the individual values or encouragements.The most worst thing is that showing partiality......

At the time of hiring the company will give you good offer/salary. Beside that I didn't like anything.

Job security: very bad today or tomorrow will be you last in the company. Very Bad work life balance , poor working environment and lot of politics.
