No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

I took as a challenge to launch Nd develop a company in my assigned area. In spite of all odds I have almost done my job. During a span of a year organisation is almost started to enjoy the break even point from my area. It gives me a pleasure that as a founder member of the organisation I have achieved this with my team building capacity Nd proper utilisation of resources.

Organisation may have some financial constrant Nd for that reason marketing operations are very much inturupted. Efficient Fieldwork are deprived on financial ground and the same in case of field operations also. Though organisation is almost accepted in his assigned operational area because of the product profile and hard work by the concern team.
