No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

...er joining and working for 45 days also they did not give any joining documents. After 2 months of working, when lockdown started the called me in April and said we are crediting your salary but from April you need to search for a new job as we are unsatisfied. They never showed their dissatisfaction till lockdown. They treat their employees like their servants and instead treat the housekeeping staff as their employee. Worst part of this company is the CEO of the company. She is a rude boss. Do not think once before blaming a employee. Never satisfied with your work. Your submission will come with a revision every time, until the final date of submission for her. Very rude and rough working culture. Een the design head of the company is equally rude. The company has just one permanent employee working there since last 3-4 years. Otherwise they don't let their employees stay there for more than 5-6 months, which I knew after joining. Major part is also played by a Vadodara based consultancy fir called Delta Consultancy. They make sure that they provide continous supply of desperate individuals whom this company hires.
