No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?

In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

My first job as an associate software engineer in NYINST. I have taken courses in a training institute but NYINST is very different from the institute because other institutes asked me to take notes and told me to try to do the given task but in NYINST they put me in a team and told me to work on the complete project. My guide was an excellent person who is working in the XCEL Corp Company. She solved whatever questions and doubts I have. I would recommend NYINST to any graduates who want to upskill and wants to grow their careers. I worked on the GUIDE JUNIORS Android/IOS App. It is mentoring app for the school level.

I was truly impressed with the live project experience program of NYINST. Their way of training with hands-on experience is really the most wanted training for many Engineering graduates like me. Compared to other ed-tech companies the fee is lower. Placement opportunities were also provided. Anyone who wants to get skilled and start a career as a software developer can join NYINST.

I liked the learning and work environment,innovation,work life balance of nyinst.The work culture is good.Another point is that my colleagues were from different region but then also we completed our project by forming a team.

I disliked the chaos that was created during my working hours.
