Unexpected job policies: stay or switch?
I recently switched jobs with a 48% hike, and my current in-hand salary is ₹35K. But after joining, I realized a few important things that weren’t mentioned during the interview. 1. No Phones or Bags Allowed – We have to keep them in lockers, which I wasn’t informed about before joining. 2. Working Saturdays – HR said all Saturdays are working but assured that one Saturday off per month would be introduced soon. I can't see that happening anytime soon 3. Phone Policy Confusion – When I asked HR why this wasn’t discussed earlier, they said it’s only for two months and won’t be the case at the new location (which was discussed earlier). But some old employees say the same rule applies there too. 4. Leaves – We get 21 paid leaves a year. I’m already thinking of switching. Would it be too soon to leave within 3 months, or should I stay for at least 6 months? Also, since I just got a good hike, how much can I ask for in my next job?

Sc#*oundrels. Even if a person decides to leave immediately after joining they ask you to pay 3 months salary. They block your service record in EPFO for a year. 6 day week and leave is not sanctioned even in emergency. Festival holidays are cancelled at short notice. Employees made to work even on Sundays. Zero work-life balance. Salary kept on hold and penalty levied for trivial reasons . LOP marked even for 5 minutes late.

I have a great experience with manappuram finance family. I am a part of a team of five members, we together done marketing activities,insurance,gold loan etc. In Manappuram finance thier having 14 products. I love the fact that the finance strictly obey the govt NDFC company rules. Their having around 17365 staff's in mafil family.

Dislikes

Work pressure is very high. Sometimes i have to work more than 10 hours. Salary is very bad. They dont give us proper training. The most i hate in Manappuram family is to meet the auction customers in their own homes, that time the company wont give any security to us.

Dislikes

Mannappuram appointing retired hands. Now job opportunity is less even then u are hiring retired hands offering high salary. You just give that salary to the young they will always be loyal to you, they will do hard work for you. Please avoid retired hands in your firm. They were already employed and may be getting pension.
