New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

I got nice evironment and freedom to work..we ll get salary on first week of every month.

Dislikes

...ease dont join this college. Once you put paper they will show their real face.. They will try to find a way to get 3 months salary from the staffs..i am roaming for past 45 to get my experience certificate and last month salary..So Please If you fall in the above category i told, join otherwise please join some nice institution.

A regular monotonous job and the place is quite within the city limits.

Dislikes

NO possible growth or development, Relieving process is horrible, no hike promotion or learning opportunity. The job is highly volatile and can be fired at any moment

Teaching students those who are passionate on studies. Also guiding students on their projects is exciting.

Job security - Good

Dislikes

The management does not work on the students to feed knowledge. They only want students only to win external competitions so that they can use it for marketing. Students are being as marketing weapons.
