ISR is a research Institute, working on government and some sponsored project related to earthquake/ seismology. So basicaaly in ISR there is a two kind of work : If a student completed Master in Geology/Geophysics( some time physics too) can apply for JRF or Geophysicist or geologist post when advertised and they may register their phd after joining ISR and can do research depending on their project and subject.But a JRF/SRF is not a job you are still student and whatever money you got from Institute is considered as stipend not salary so you are not employee at all. Second is a person which already completed their phd is eligible for scientist post and it will be considered as a job. Also a one year experience in seismology is valid for scientist B post and no phd registration/ completion required. Also for upper most like sci C,D there is a require of phd completion and experience also. For more details please check ISR website and advertisement(old). So above things can be more clear for you. Thank you. And good environment for job no bad experience i suffer till today There is also field work has been done regularly by researchers in different area of gujarat. Even ine can visit our institute by giving application to our admin depat and can visit whole campus. Thank you.
