No Salary Discussion in My Appraisal — What’s Your Experience?
In my appraisal meeting, they didn’t ask or discuss my expectations about my salary or hike percentage. The entire discussion was only about feedback and performance review. After the meeting, I asked why they didn’t allow me to share my expectations or reveal my hike numbers. They told me that the hike numbers would be decided only by the owner and then they would inform me. I feel an appraisal meeting should include open discussion about both performance and future expectations. What are your thoughts? Does this happen in your company too?

In terms of knowledge they give very good training.

Dislikes

Salary and hike is very bad. No worklife balance, like in holiday if some new fund is launching you have to work on Saturday or Sunday. They don't feel we are human. We need rest. And DET channel don't give leave.

...n approach him at any given time to have a conversation or problem solving tips. Salary credits are timely without any delay you might get it early but never late. Internal politics are there but at a minimum Best thing is that icici prudential amc avoids hiring people from outside the company and tries to train and motivate the pre existing employee for the upper management

The promotional structure is slow and salary upraises are very low if you are ready to put in 5 years to reach the position of a TL that’s fine but if you looking for climbing the ladder quickly that is something which is not going to happen Daily targets are a little irritating and the compliance is also very very strict from a company stand point that’s good but from an employees point of stance it’s very restrictive If you don’t like public speaking or attending meets or presenting ppts you are going to hate it her because the company will make sure every employee is confident with their speech and will try to make you present a ppt at least once every 3 months The work profile gets a bit boring after a point as it is pretty repetitive and the compliance while taking calls is very restrictive and will make taking calls a bit tricky Salary is the major concern as monetary growth slow which can be expected from a big company
