What I dislike about general mills is the salary structure and politics during promotion. S There is a lot of deductions in your CTC so before joining the organisation please confirm the take home salary before accepting the offer. You are eligible for promotion after completing 18 months on a same designation but even if you do great in the interview you will have doubts after getting the results as most of the promotions are pre decided. The employee who is about to leave or the employee close to management are preferred over hard working employee

...o percent appraisal in last 2 years 3. No involvement with permanent employee e.g team outting, bonus, after day end parties. 4. All permanent employees are protecting their own jobs and blaming to contractual employees. 5. Girls harrasment e.g Nitin Suvarna case. 6. Third class finance controller Saurabh Singhal and Ipsita Bhawal they feel like they are the onwer of the Company. 7. Insulting contract workers in front of all permanent superiors. 8. Permanent employee relax at home on Thursday and Friday but contractual employees need to work for Monday to Saturday 9. Less pays to contractual works as compare to other companies

...is company is worth applying for. This is a great company if you want to retire. Join when you have a great salary and stay here for life long.

Dislikes

Salary, Benefits and Promotions are not upto the mark. With respect to work satisfaction you will be bored doing same tasks daily. Also, one disadvantage of joining General mills is 3 months notice period.

Positives are only when you are with good leadership. In my team leadership was very bad and favoritism is on its top in promotions. Some time 2 people can get selected on 1 IJP if they are favorite of manager irrespective of work you do. They will keep on giving you same feedbacks on softskills but do not bother to provide you guidance. Also if your managers are not good then you have to work from office. Some times they are supportive at the start as it seems but after you settle down you will understand hidden politics here. some people you may see at the top in few years where as there are many sitting on same place from years more than 4 at least. Lacks in innovation business model is acquire add to supply chain and move and discard non profitable.

Dislikes

Pay is better if you compare this with any service sector company. Pays worst than other product companies and competitors. Outside person will get more salary when joining but from growth stand point do not expect much it will be similar to normal fmcg growth rates.
