DFC is the largest ever Infrastructure Project in the history of Indian Railways after Independence. Plenty of opportunity to learn the Project Management skills. Effective discussions with your mentor(boss) helps you learn a lot. Advancend Signalling system is being deployed in WDFC.

Dislikes

Performance Related Pay is not there in the salary package right now. Hoping the same will be the part of the salary package once this Construction phase of the Project starts generating revenue .

Likes

Since most of the officers in the Engineering departments are from Railway departments and the Rules and Regulations are one and the same as INDIAN RAILWAY, as a Railway I feel comfortable working in DFCCIL as a Railway Man.

Dislikes

Promotion aspects are very low for newcomers. No additional benefits are provided to Re-engagement Railway staff compared to regular DFCCIL's regular staff.

I like all works in DFCCIL (Ministry of railways). Like that works, all maintenance track ,points and crossing,and building store work like that,lay out, Excavation, PCC work, RCC work,shuttering work etc .

Senior most supervisor who had managed almost whole of the division contains more than 100 stations for about 35 years successfully was supposed to work under a raw hand Station Master recruited merely 6 months ago that too 12 hours duty without rest in day night roster.

Dislikes

The employees deployed in DFCCIL from Indian Railway on deputation are not working and behaving like a manager in the corporate sector. They are almost working in the same irresponsible way what they were doing in the Indian Railways but drawing peris like corporate sector.

Very bad place to work for contractual staff , On role employee is useless to work , Only come office to complete 8 to 9 hours working time , Behaviour is very unethical , I came to know while working in this organisation why govt units or department is not productive and loss making ... Very bad place to work
