The starting salary is great

Dislikes

The Work Life balance is poor. Lately citi is undergoing a major restructuring. This led to huge layoffs. Even if you Work like hell it is not worth it. There are no opportunity to learn something new and switch teams. Bcz there are no jobs at all. Don't go for the initial good package. Life is stressful Lately hikes are also not very good

Salary Hike and Yearly Bonus... Join only if you are behind money...

Dislikes

- If you are a QA, you will get no respect from any team; that's the kind of mentality people will be - Post my 3.5 years of stint, I gained no technical knowledge. Company focusses only on Application/Domain knowledge, which would be of no help when you plan to switch company - Even if you have a dedicated QA manager (which itself is rare), he will again be reporting to a Dev Sr. manager. So all your QA related concerns will go unheard of - Devs will get promoted to AVP even within 5-6 years of overall exp, however QA have to struggle 12-15 years to get promoted to AVP. And during my time with Citi, I've never seen a single QA who got promoted to VP.

Job security is good in Citi. Yearly bonus apart from the CTC Health checkup claim worth 6500 rupees per year. Access to Degreed learning platform. Free company transportation & health insurance.

Job security - Excellent

Dislikes

No work life balance. Has to support on weekend's during implementation that too on EST timings without any comp off or shift allowance. Very bad hikes. 3 months notice period No onsite opportunities Company laptop is not provided. You have to work with your personal laptop during WFH.

...fe balance is depends on team. Great work culture (work with co-located team). Yearly salary hike is good. Providing lot of soft skills training.

If you are tech person then it's not a correct choice. Only business knowledge is needed for moving to next level. Micromanagement is there. Very low/no bonus. Career mobility is not that easy even you fit for that. Politics is there.

I have the following offers and confused to choose one. Exp: 6.8 Java backend dev cognizant - 25 lpa (24 fixed) Epam - 28 fixed Citi - 30 fixed If i ask epam with citi offer they will increase their offer, but my question is that worth negotiating with them? Please give you suggestions. My Last working day is 31 March 2025.
