New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward
I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

New Projects Coming up. Safety System is high.

...lfer and H2S observed. OVERTIME DUTY is daily. You have to always do extra duty. And overtime pay is based on basic salary. So they purposefully put bacis salary low on your CTC. they hire people on dcs basis and put them on field. Canteen looks very expensive but canteen system is not good. Employees welfare activity is not done here. Same experienced people salary is different. There is not a culture of MNC company here.

In Cheminova Balanace of work is not there as there are Streight 14-18 working. and it is only good those who start the carrier. after some time work becomes here Monotonous here and People are not caring for experience.

The company is open for the ideas as far as my department is concerned. Gives liberty to put into action. Working culture is adaptive. Helps to keep the balance between work and Life balance.

The work is mostly time bound. For career growth it is slow. Economic growth for the employees is slowing down. Senior employees growth is not rising. I am not recognized as per seniority, work and efforts. Job related training internal or external is not arranged. Job security is also come into existence.

It was a great company to work for , very supportive people. Now cheminova does not exist as it was taken over by FMC in 2014. FMC has a very different culture compared to Cheminova. Most of Cheminova employees have left after FMC took over Cheminova. Now a great company Cheminova does not exist.
