Great work life balance atleast for the legal team, since the rest of department are involved in a lot of work irrespective of their work timings. A person can give as much time to themselves as they like. There can be work satisfaction but depends on the manager and place of posting. Job security is a pro at Tata since you cannot be fired unless POSH or any violation of TCOC.

Dislikes

Bad HR policies and extremely rural place of work. Western part of odisha isn't itself a very posh or developed area and since the company itself if established for Western part of Odisha, the place is kind of remote (except Sambalpur) (yeah, just one particular place) connectivity issues can also be faced, such as rail or bus connectivity to a lot of places. There is a laptop buyback policy at place as of now which forces employees to buy the laptop in case they leave the organisation before serving 4 years in the company which is quite regressive. The bonus or appraisal is very shady and biased and I've Personally seen most hard working employees received payment deductions due to the policy of "Performance pay". Incriment to the employees is a mere 6-10% range on an average depending on how much the company has scored them on the Performance Pay scale etc. The engineers are the one suffering the most here....Read More
