Zenatix is an energy monitoring and analytics company that helps large electricity consumers understand their energy consumption pattern and take steps to save energy. Installs energy monitoring equipment such as smart meters and controllers and sets up a cloud-based software for real-time monitoring of energy consumption. Stores the data from smart meters in the cloud and provides consumers with visualizations and analytics dissecting their power consumption patterns in real time at major loads, and take steps to optimize the usage by recommending energy-saving measures. Also developing Smart Grid Solutions for optimal demand side and supply side management. The company currently has 4 products under its umbrella, targeting retail, BFSI, commercial building, industry, and apartment. Founded by IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Delhi, and UCLA alumni. Claims to have more than 45 paying customers including Google, Starbucks, Xerox, etc. as of Dec 2015. Raised $211k funding from Google India MD Rajan Anandan, along with Snapdeal co-founders Kunal Bahl & Rohit Bansal and Trifecta Capital's Rahul Khanna in July 2015. Raised undisclosed amount of funding from Blume Ventures in Dec 2015. Raised $1.8M in a pre-series A round of funding led by pi Ventures in Feb 2017. Selected to be part of the Microsoft Accelerator batch in March 2017.
