The channel launched on 23 January 2006 in partnership with Reuters.[1][2] It is a pay television throughout India. Until 2016, it was India's most popular and most viewed English news channel with Arnab Goswami as the anchor.[3][4][5] After the 2016 departure of Goswami, the channel has typically ranked as the third most watched English news channel in India.[6][7]
