The Rajasthan Textile Mills Association (RTMA) was set up in 1954 and since then it has been functioning as representative body of the textile mills of the state, championing the cause of the textile industry and making constructive suggestions to the State and the Central Government in regard to textile policy, taxation and other operational activities. It also has close liaison with sister organization in the country such as Confederation of India Textile Industry (CITI) (Formerly known as ICMF), Indian Spinners Association (ISA), Association of Synthetic Fibre Industry (ASFI), Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) etc. It has also been having liaison with other Regional Textile Mills Association and State Level Associations of trade and industry.
