MTR Foods Parent Prepares For IPO With Major Board Restructuring
- Norway’s Orkla ASA has restructured the board of its Indian subsidiary, MTR Foods, ahead of its planned initial public offering (IPO).
- They have appointed four non-executive independent directors as part of the board restructuring.
- Orkla India is working with advisors and may file for an IPO in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, aiming to generate up to $400 million.

Elizabeth line strikes called off after drivers get new pay offer
- Planned strikes by train drivers on London's Elizabeth line have been called off after a new pay offer.
- The union, Aslef, had planned a series of strikes which would have caused travel disruption in the capital.
- No announcement has been made about further stoppages on 8 and 10 March.
- The line's operator, MTR, offered drivers a 4.5% pay increase, in line with other pay deals agreed by train drivers.

Tokyo Metro wins contract to operate London’s Elizabeth line
- Tokyo Metro Company, along with UK transport group Go-Ahead and Japanese trading house Sumitomo Corporation, has won the contract to operate London's Elizabeth line.
- The GTS Rail Operations consortium, led by Tokyo Metro, will take over the running of the line for at least seven years from next May, replacing the incumbent operator MTR.
- Tokyo Metro is known for its reliability and punctuality and aims to bring these qualities to the Elizabeth line, which has experienced reliability issues in the past year.
- The contract aims to optimize the current operation of the line and prepare it for the increased services expected when the new HS2 station at Old Oak Common opens in 2030.
