ZettaMine - COBOL Programmer - AS400 (4-5 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AS400 and COBOL 400 developer to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AS400 architecture, COBOL programming language, and related technologies.

You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing critical applications on the AS400 platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement new AS400 applications and enhancements to existing systems.

- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented COBOL code.

- Collaborate with business analysts and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

- Perform unit testing, system testing, and integration testing to ensure code quality and functionality.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

- Stay updated with the latest AS400 technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Strong proficiency in AS400 architecture, operating system, and tools.

- In-depth knowledge of COBOL programming language and its dialects (RPG, CL, etc.

- Experience with DB2 for iSeries database and SQL.

- Understanding of AS400 security concepts and administration.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal.
