As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the sales process by bridging the gap between the technical aspects of a product or service and the business needs of potential customers
Your role will involve understanding the customer's requirements, demonstrating how the product meets those needs, and providing technical expertise and support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential customers and opportunities for the company's products or services
Engage with prospects and customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing how the product meets the customer's specific needs and delivers value
Provide technical expertise and answer customer inquiries about product capabilities, integration, and implementation
Collaborate with the product development team to understand new features and updates and effectively communicate them to customers
Assist in preparing technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and other sales-related documentation
Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot projects to demonstrate the product's capabilities and suitability for the customer's use cases
Assist in evaluating and analyzing the technical aspects of customer feedback and requirements, providing insights to the product team
Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in sales discussions
Travel to customer sites, conferences, and industry events to represent the company and its products
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create technical content, case studies, and sales enablement materials
Participate in sales meetings, calls, and negotiations to provide technical support and address customer concerns
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted technical advisor
Coordinate with implementation and support teams to ensure a smooth handover of new customers and projects
Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Proven experience (X years) as a Sales Engineer, Solution Engineer, or similar role in a technology-focused company
Strong technical background with a deep understanding of the product or service being offered
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to understand customer needs and provide effective solutions
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment and manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Familiarity with CRM tools and sales automation software for tracking and managing sales activities
Willingness to travel as required for customer visits and industry events
