Role Overview:
The E-Commerce Head (Business Head) will be responsible for establishing, scaling, and managing Bookscape as a premier distribution channel. This is a senior-level leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, a track record of building successful e-commerce platforms, and expertise in scaling businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and implement the growth strategy for Bookscape as a key distribution channel.
- Drive alignment between Bookscape's objectives an overall business goals.
Revenue Growth & Profitability:
- Develop and execute plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, partnerships, and customer segments.
E-Commerce Operations:
- Build and optimize the end-to-end operations of the Bookscape platform.
- Ensure seamless integration of inventory, logistics, and order management systems.
Channel Development:
- Forge partnerships with publishers, authors, and distributors to onboard their products on Bookscape.
- Expand the distribution network through innovative and scalable models.
Customer Experience:
- Enhance the user experience through intuitive design, efficient delivery, and excellent service.
- Leverage analytics to understand customer preferences and drive personalized experiences.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team for Bookscape operations and growth.
- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use insights to refine strategies.
- Utilize advanced analytics tools to drive sales, engagement, and retention.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed institution.
Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years in e-commerce, business development, or related fields.
- Proven track record of building and scaling e-commerce or distribution businesses.
- Experience in the publishing or books industry is a strong advantage.
Skills:
- Strategic planning and execution.
