Create protocols to scale novel bio-materials and structures for high barrier packaging applications.
Stay current with industry trends, research, and technological advancements in sustainable materials, biomimicry, and natural products.
Lead projects in material design, development, and commercialization, ensuring all solutions meet functional and environmental specifications.
Collaborate with external partners, universities, and suppliers to drive innovation in sustainable materials and packaging technologies.
Prepare technical reports, patents, and publications on new discoveries and innovations.
Qualifications:
PhD in Organic Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field with a focus on sustainable or regenerative materials.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in new materials research and development, with a focus on novel materials, structures, and bio-inspired products
Deep understanding of material identification, modifications, and processing techniques.
Proven experience in developing functional, reusable, and compostable materials solutions for packaging or related applications.
Strong knowledge of sustainable chemistry, including eco-friendly additives and formulations.
Hands-on experience with natural products chemistry and biomimicry principles application in materials science.
Ability to conduct independent research and lead complex R&D projects.
