This role is managing a team of engineers developing, integrating, and supporting a number of security platforms. This includes both COTS and internally developed solutions.
The team s main goal is to make the vast amount of vulnerability data we have actionable so that other security and engineering teams can work to prevent and remediate security issues.
The team s work combines software and system engineering, data engineering, and an understanding of the security outcomes that we re supporting.

PayPal Product Security team is a part of PayPal Cyber & Information Security, dedicated to ensuring the products we provide our customers are secure. We work across application and infrastructure, ensuring security is built into development, deployment, and production, while covering multiple tech stacks.
The Product Security Engineering group is a dedicated to providing quality engineering solutions to support our goals. We provide solutions to other teams within Product Security, enabling faster and more comprehensive work. We also work to integrate security solutions into developers native workflows, leading to better security with less friction. As such, we partner with mane security, development, and DevOps teams. Our vision is to show how quality engineering and better security support each other.

Your work will enable tracking, prioritizing, and understanding vulnerabilities across PayPal products . You will enable policy management and tracking of all remediation activities.
Your will be responsible for implementing solutions to create a better develop experience for security work, directly impacting how all developers in PayPal interact with security teams and vulnerability remediation requirements.
You will partner closely with other security teams focused on vulnerability management.
Your day-to-day -
Manage software engineerin g projects to develop and maintain developer platforms.
Integrate , maintain , and configure ASPM software .
Manage data pipelines of vulnerability data and other supporting data .
Mentor a team of engineers at various levels of experience and of different backgrounds .
D rive the creation of systems to support a good developer experience for security tooling .
What do you need to bring -
At least 8 years of experience in an application security or software development .
At least 2 years of experience in a management role .
P rogramming experience in at least one language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Ruby , Go, Swift .
Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across multiple disciplines .
A n understanding of developer experience and workflows .
Proficien cy in mentoring, providing feedback, and guiding engineers that you manage .
Familiarity with application security a n d secure development concepts.
