We are seeking a motivated Java Developer with a strong interest in transitioning to Data Engineering roles. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Java programming and SQL, along with a desire to work on data processing, data pipelines, and database management systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Java Development & Data Processing:
- Write efficient and reliable Java code to process, transform, and manage data.
- Assist in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and data warehousing solutions.
- Monitor data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- SQL & Database Management:
- Utilize strong SQL skills to interact with and manage various database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Support data modelling and database design efforts, ensuring that database solutions are optimized for performance and scalability.
- Participate in data quality assurance and validation efforts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
- Data Migration & Platform Support:
- Assist in the migration of data from legacy systems to new data platforms, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with team members to design, implement, and maintain data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Java programming.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Familiarity with data modelling and database design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Python programming.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Experience in designing and developing scalable data pipelines and ETL processes .
