Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partner:
Sales -
Partner with the commercial business team to:
- Evaluate market dynamics, competitive positioning, and customer trends
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities within existing accounts, new customers, and new markets
- Lead the financial analysis and preparation for winning quotes, ensuring competitive pricing strategies that balance profitability and market share growth
- Support the development and execution of commercial strategies by providing customer profitability analyses and evaluating the financial impact of new product launches or strategic initiatives
- Develop ongoing pricing strategies while evaluating and analyzing the financial impact and working with cross-functional teams to reduce costs
Operations -
Partner with the various operations teams including manufacturing, purchasing, and supply chain to:
- Partner with manufacturing teams to improve plant efficiency and reduce production costs
- Collaborate with purchasing teams to recommend, initiate and ensure proper implementation cost-saving actions without compromising quality
- Identify and analyze insourcing and supplier localization opportunities, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities and long-term profitability
- Provide financial insights and modeling to optimize inventory levels, minimize waste, and improve working capital management
- Work closely with supply chain team to identify and mitigate risks, including disruptions, inflationary pressures, and foreign exchange impacts
- Assess and model the financial impact of capacity investments, ensuring alignment with demand forecast, operational needs, and strategic growth plans
Engineering -
Collaborate with regional program management team while working cross-functionally with the global software engineering organization:
- Partner with regional program management team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer and business objectives
- Develop financial frameworks to evaluate program performance, including profitability, costs trends, and resource utilization, ensuring accountability for program results
- Collaborate with the global software engineering organization to align on resource planning, cost management, and delivery milestones
- Provide financial oversight for R&D investments, ensuring alignment with the region's strategic priorities while optimizing cost and timeliness
- Drive initiatives to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency
- Partner with engineering leadership to identify and mitigate risks in program execution, ensuring proactive financial and operational solutions
- Support the development and tracking of KPIs for program management, enabling clear visibility and continuous improvement across projects
Finance and Accounting Leadership
Finance Team Leader -
Lead the finance and accounting team which consist of about 20 team members:
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Mentor and coach team members to grow their technical skills, business acumen, and leadership capabilities, preparing them for future roles
- Drive a business-first mindset across the finance team, ensuring they act as strategic partners to other functions
- Set clear goals and expectations, providing regular feedback and recognition to maintain high levels of engagement and performance
- Lead by example, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to the company's value in all interactions
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration, ensuring the finance team is integrated with operations, engineering, sales, and other key areas to maximize business impact
FP&A -
Lead the region's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regional business strategies:
- Provide accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights to drive decision-making across all functional areas
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for growth and efficiency
- Partner with leadership to establish KPIs and drive accountability for achieving financial targets
- Ensure transparency in financial reporting, delivering insights that go beyond the numbers to drive strategic actions and business improvements
Accounting & Regulatory Compliance - Oversee all regional accounting and regulatory requirements including compliance with GAAP, local statutory accounting, corporate policies, and local regulations:
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all accounting regulations
- Establish robust internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain the integrity of financial reporting
- Partner with global and regional teams to manage transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and compliance with cross-border tax regulations
- Collaborate with global treasury, tax, and audit teams
Requirements:
- Business-Oriented Expertise: Deep business acumen with demonstrated experience driving operational and financial improvements across multiple functional areas such as sales, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain. This is not a role for candidates who only have worked in a specific area such as FP&A, accounting, tax, treasury, or similar functions without having extensive involvement with the business.
- Integrity and Accountability: A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to upholding the company's values and driving results with accountability. This individual most never cut corners on ethics, consistently upholding the highest standards, even under pressure.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading finance teams, with at least 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles. Prior experience as a regional finance director / CFO is highly preferred.
- Industry Experience: Experience in industrial environments with strong understanding of B2B quoting processes, manufacturing operations, and engineering workflows. Exposure to working in a software-driven or technology-integrated business is highly desirable. Automotive industry is preferred but not required, as long as the candidate demonstrates a deep familiarity with cost structures, operational dynamics, and customer-facing processes in similar industries.
- Strategic and Collaborative: Ability to balance being tough, results-driven leader while being viewed as a trusted partner by cross-functional teams.
- Growth Mindset: Passion for personal and professional development, with a preference for candidates who actively read, learn, and seek to grow their skillsets. Interest and ability to expand role in next 1 - 3 years to take on financial leadership of other countries and / or global functions.
- Broad Financial Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of financial planning, accounting (including US GAAP), reporting, cost management, and compliance, with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business strategies.
- Influential Leadership: Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and inspire trust at all levels of the organization.
- Education: Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field required. An MBA or other advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
