Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Management:

• Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance schedules for all warehouse

equipment.

• Manage day-to-day maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and

inspections.

2. Equipment Oversight:

• Ensure optimal functionality of cold rooms, lifts, conveyors, HVAC systems, forklifts, and

other electrical systems.

• Monitor and maintain the energy efficiency of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Maintain proper documentation of equipment warranties and service agreements.

3. Team Supervision:

• Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team to meet operational goals.
• Schedule and delegate maintenance tasks while ensuring quality and timely completion.

4. Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state regulations, particularly regarding

cold storage and electrical systems.

• Enforce adherence to workplace safety standards and procedures.

5. Vendor and Contractor Management:

• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.

• Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate maintenance contracts as needed.

6. Budget Management:

• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for

money.

• Monitor expenses related to repairs, spare parts, and equipment servicing.

7. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for improving the reliability and efficiency of warehouse systems.
• Propose and implement upgrades or new technologies to enhance operational performance.

8. Emergency Response:

• Act as the primary point of contact for any equipment breakdowns or emergencies.
• Develop and implement contingency plans to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial

Engineering or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of maintenance experience in a warehouse or industrial

environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

• Technical Expertise:

1. Strong knowledge of cold room systems, HVAC, electrical equipment, and conveyor

systems.

2. Familiarity with forklifts and other warehouse machinery.

3. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and

electrical issues.

• Certifications (Preferred):
• HVAC certification
• Electrical Safety Certification
• Other Requirements: Availability for on-call duty and emergency response.
