Database Administrator ( MY SQL & MS SQL)

1. Database Design and Development
- Designing and managing databases to ensure they meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
- Writing efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for both MS SQL Server and MySQL.
- Implementing data modeling and schema design according to project specifications.
2. Database Administration
- Setting up and configuring MS SQL Server and MySQL environments.
- Performing regular database maintenance tasks, such as backups, indexing, and data integrity checks.
- Monitoring and tuning database performance for both database management systems.
- Ensuring database security, access control, and adherence to compliance standards.
3. Data Migration and Integration
- Managing data migration projects between MS SQL and MySQL or other systems.
- Working on data transformation and integration tasks using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools.
- Writing scripts for data import/export processes.
4. Troubleshooting and Support
- Identifying and resolving database performance issues, deadlocks, and errors.
- Providing support and troubleshooting for database-related problems.
- Collaborating with software developers and IT teams to optimize database interactions.
5. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of database structures, configurations, and procedures.
- Generating reports and queries for business intelligence purposes.

Required Skills
1. Technical Proficiency
- Strong command of SQL and query optimization techniques.
- Experience in MS SQL Server (e.g., T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio) and MySQL (e.g., MySQL Workbench).
- Knowledge of **database indexing , partitioning**, and **normalization**.
2. Performance Tuning and Optimization*
- Ability to analyze and improve database performance metrics.
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools to diagnose and resolve bottlenecks.
3. Backup and Recovery
- Experience with creating backup and disaster recovery strategies for both MS SQL and MySQL.
- Familiarity with transaction logs and point-in-time recovery options.
4. Security Management
- Implementing role-based access controls and data encryption.
- Familiarity with best practices for securing databases against vulnerabilities.
5. Scripting and Automation
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., **PowerShell**, **Bash**, or **Python**) for automating routine tasks.
- Experience with **ETL tools** or data transformation processes.
6. Collaboration and Communication
- Ability to work closely with developers, data analysts, and IT teams.
- Effective communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
7.- Experience with Cloud Platforms : Familiarity with cloud-based databases such as **Azure SQL Database ,Amazon RDS , or Google Cloud SQL .
