Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Engineer to join our clients team a global, fast-growing consumer data and technology company, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, USA. The Platform Engineering team is a cross-functional team (Cloud Operations & Platform Ownership) with involvement in all Mobilewalla products and internal systems. The team is responsible for the design, implementation, operations, and support of platform components.

As an Engineer on the Platform Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to apply your technical skills to manage the platform on public cloud environments and perform production operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Platform setup, upgrades/migration.

Investigate and fix platform issues.

Perform maintenance and upgrades for platform components.

Support operations involved in partner setup, data transfers, and data restoration.

Monitor and report cloud spend.

Perform periodic system checks and access control reviews.

Proactively identify platform and operational gaps to identify opportunities for improvement.

Create shell scripts to automate ad-hoc operational tasks.

Experience

At least 4 years experience in setup, manage and support web/app systems in AWS cloud.

Hands on Linux/Unix system administration skills.

Practical knowledge of web/app system architectures and cloud networking.

Understanding of TCP/IP, application load balancing and auto-scaling concepts

Experience in using ticketing systems such as JIRA and Phabricator to record work history.

Motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to code in Python.
