Associate - Investment Banking (2-5 yrs)

Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Execution:

o Assist in executing M&A transactions, private equity deals, and capital raising mandates.

o Prepare detailed financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.

2. Research & Analysis:

o Conduct comprehensive industry research and market analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

o Prepare pitch books, investment memorandums, and client presentations.

3. Client Engagement:

o Work closely with senior team members to manage client relationships and understand their strategic objectives.

o Support in structuring deals and negotiating terms with potential investors or buyers.

4. Documentation:

o Oversee due diligence processes and ensure timely preparation of legal and financial documentation.

o Coordinate with legal, compliance, and regulatory teams to ensure all documentation adheres to standards.

5. Team Collaboration:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.

o Mentor and guide analysts and junior team members.

Qualifications & Skills

- Educational Background: MBA in Finance, CA, CFA (Level I/II/III preferred), or equivalent qualifications.

- Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or management consulting.

- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint, and financial databases.

- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities with attention to detail.

- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex ideas effectively.

- Interpersonal Skills: Strong client-facing skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory frameworks governing investment banking transactions in India.
