About the Role :
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Analyst to join our growing team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring successful implementation of our Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) system.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and product development, to gather and analyze requirements, document system specifications, and drive the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Elicit and Analyze Requirements :
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders (sales, engineering, product management) to understand complex engineering calculations, product selection/configuration rules, and pricing models.
- Conduct thorough needs analysis through workshops, interviews, and document reviews.
- Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring they are clear, concise, and measurable.
Product Definition & Development :
- Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA to capture and prioritize product development tasks.
- Assist in the management of sprints and product backlog in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
Testing & Quality Assurance :
- Support testing resources by ensuring comprehensive test scripts are in place.
- Define and execute functional and user acceptance test plans.
- Participate in and support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
Documentation & Knowledge Management :
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user manuals, process flows, and API integration guides.
- Stay current with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in the CPQ domain to enhance our solutions.
Communication & Collaboration :
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders (engineers, sales teams, developers, product managers).
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications :
Essential Skills :
- 4-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software development environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in documenting complex system requirements, use cases, user journeys, process flows, and API integrations.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like JIRA.
- Strong understanding of product definition for Configured-to-Order (CTO) and Engineered-to-Order (ETO) products.
Desirable Skills :
- Experience with CPQ software in a manufacturing context (i.e. Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ Cloud, Epicore, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Product Owner/Product Manager experience is a significant advantage
