Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth & Market Expansion: - Identify new business opportunities in schools, colleges, and educational institutions. - Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets, both local and national. - Expand BitsnBugs' reach through collaborations with educational organizations, government bodies, and corporate partners. - Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
2. Sales & Lead Generation: - Generate leads through research, networking, and cold outreach (emails, calls, events, etc.). - Work closely with the sales team to convert leads into clients and upsell existing clients. - Provide insights and feedback to the marketing team for better-targeted campaigns and content. - Create and deliver eTective sales presentations tailored to educational institutions.
3. Relationship Management: - Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including educational administrators, government oTicials, and industry stakeholders. - Serve as the primary point of contact for all business development-related queries. - Ensure customer satisfaction by managing ongoing relationships and addressing any concerns or feedback.
4. Product & Market Feedback: - Provide feedback to the product team on market demands, trends, and competitor oTerings. - Share insights from schools and colleges to improve BitsnBugs' course oTerings, delivery methods, and technology.
5. Brand Representation: - Represent the company at educational conferences, workshops, and events to increase brand visibility. - Deliver talks, webinars, or workshops about BitsnBugs' educational philosophy and product oTerings. - Promote BitsnBugs through local networking events, industry gatherings, and social media.
6. Negotiation & Closing Deals: - Lead negotiations for contracts and agreements with educational institutions. - Ensure that pricing structures and terms are competitive and aligned with the company's goals. - Successfully close deals and work with the operations team to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
7. Travel & Field Visits: - Be open to traveling within and outside the city to meet potential clients, attend events, and oversee new business opportunities. - Conduct on-site visits to schools and colleges to understand client needs, provide demos, and oTer tailored solutions.
8. Reporting & Documentation: - Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client communications, and deal stages in the CRM system. - Regularly report on sales progress, key achievements, and areas of improvement to senior leadership. - Prepare presentations, proposals, and contracts for potential clients.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Experience: - 2+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management (preferably in the EdTech or technology sector). - Prior experience in selling products or services to educational institutions (schools, colleges, universities) is highly desirable. - A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
2. Skills: - Excellent Communication Skills Both verbal and written communication skills are crucial for eTective client interaction, presentations, and negotiations. - Tech-Savvy Basic understanding of coding, tech tools, or digital learning platforms is an advantage. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Problem-Solving Abilities Ability to identify client pain points and oTer appropriate solutions. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
3. Education: - A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
4. Other Requirements: - Open to frequent travel for client meetings, events, and business development activities. - Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is a plus. - Ability to work remotely and manage time eTectively.
