- The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Business Development is responsible for leading the business development efforts of the domestic BPO division.
- This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships,developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the domestic market.The AVP will work closely with senior leadership to define and implement business development strategies that align with the companys goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets for the domestic BPO market.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients to expand the companys footprint in the domestic BPO sector.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs to inform business development efforts.
2. Target Achievement and Performance Management:
- Set and achieve quarterly and annual sales targets, ensuring alignment with the companys overall
business objectives.
- Monitor the performance against set targets, analyze shortfalls, and implement corrective actions to
ensure target achievement.
- Develop incentive and performance management programs to motivate the business development
team and drive target achievement.
3. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Lead the acquisition of new clients by identifying prospects, conducting presentations, and
negotiating contracts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized solutions that meet clients specific
needs and enhance customer value.
4. Sales Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide leadership and direction to the business development team, including setting goals, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and mentoring.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team, encouraging continuous learning, innovation, and accountability.
- Develop and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting of business development activities and results.
5. Partnership and Alliance Building:
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships and alliances with other organizations to expand service offerings and enhance market presence.
- Negotiate partnership agreements and manage ongoing relationships with strategic partners.
6. Financial and Contract Management:
- Work closely with the finance team to develop pricing strategies and contract terms that are
competitive and profitable.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and manage contract renewals, amendments, and
negotiations.
7. Market Intelligence and Analysis:
- Analyze market data, customer feedback, and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and
areas for improvement.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities,
pipeline status, and market conditions.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the operations, marketing, and product development teams to ensure seamless
delivery of services and solutions to clients.
- Work with the marketing team to develop effective sales collateral, presentations, and promotional
materials.
9. Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all business development activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and
ethical standards.
- Identify potential risks associated with new business opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate
them.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent
advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development or sales, with at least 5 years in a
leadership role within the BPO industry, specifically in the domestic market.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and expanding market presence in the BPO sector.
- Strong understanding of the domestic BPO industry, including key players, market dynamics, and
regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and develop effective business development strategies.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and building trust.
