VideoVerse - Lead Software Engineer - Backend Development (6-8 yrs)

Roles and responsibilities :

- Take full ownership of backend systems and services, ensuring they meet enterprise-grade performance, scalability, and security standards.

- Design and implement APIs, microservices, and backend infrastructure tailored for Build-Your-Own-Cloud (BYOC) and On-Premise service models.

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate their systems into enterprise workflows while adhering to compliance, scalability, and robustness standards.

- Build enterprise-grade tools to support seamless integrations and operations, with a focus on efficiency and user-friendliness.

- Identify bottlenecks in existing systems and develop strategies to enhance performance using efficient algorithms and architecture designs.

- Guide and coach team members on best practices for backend, enterprise integrations, and full-stack development, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

- Ensure all systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with enterprise standards for privacy and data protection.

- Continuously research and implement emerging technologies, methodologies, and best practices in enterprise engineering.

Desired skills and experience :

- A minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in Backend Engineering and building On-Prem/BYOC systems for Enterprises

- Excellent problem-solving, architecture, and algorithm design skills

- Extensive experience building complex, large-scale web applications with modern backend languages (i.e., Node.js, Python, etc.)

- Strong experience with database design, optimization, querying, and Storage Engineering (i.e. PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, HELM, Kubernetes etc.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent) and on-premise infrastructure

- Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for enterprise-grade solutions

- Experience enterprise authentication methods (OAuth, SAML, LDAP) and compliance standards (i.e., GDPR, HIPAA)

- Basic Understanding of front-end technologies such as React, HTML, and CSS to ensure smooth collaboration with frontend teams

- Expertise in building tooling and frameworks for enterprise integrations and maintenance

- Exceptional technical communication and collaboration skills, capable of achieving successful outcomes with colleagues at all levels, from junior engineers to senior executives
