Job Description
1. System Integration Strategy: Develop andexecute a comprehensive integration strategy that aligns with organisationalobjectives, focusing on minimizing disruptions to existing processes whilemaximizing system efficiency.
2. Project Management: Manage timelines,resources, and deliverables for integration projects. Organise, coordinate, andsupervise the activities of development teams to ensure timely delivery ofintegration solutions.
3. Technical Supervision: Provide technicaldirection and support during the design, development, and implementation phasesof integration. Ensure the compatibility and functionality of various systems.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely withinternal and external stakeholders to define integration requirements andcommunicate progress and challenges. Ensure that integration solutions meetbusiness needs and expectations.
5. Quality Assurance and Testing: Oversee thecreation and implementation of detailed test plans to ensure the stability andperformance of integrated systems. Address any issues identified duringtesting.
6. Documentation and Compliance: Maintaincomprehensive documentation for integration architectures and processes. Ensureall integration activities comply with company policies and externalregulations.
7. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate theeffectiveness of integration strategies and make adjustments as necessary. Stayabreast of industry trends and developments in technology to continuallyenhance integration practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge ofsoftware development and system integration principles.
- Project Management Skills: Proven ability tomanage complex projects, with a solid understanding of project managementmethodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analyticaland problem-solving skills, capable of working through complex issues anddevising effective solutions.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills, essential for working withcross-functional teams and explaining technical details to non-technicalstakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changingtechnologies and quickly integrate new concepts into ongoing projects.
- Advanced user in Jira/Confluence
Experience
- Professional Experience: Generally, 5+ years ofexperience in system integration, software development, or a related field withat least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Educational Background: Typically requires abachelordegree in computer science, information systems, softwareengineering, or a related field.
Certifications (Optional)
- Certified SOA Architect
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), especially if theorganization uses Agile methodologies.
