Sales Manager - Transport Segment
Responsibilities:
- Direct and oversee the workflow across the entire region, ensuring efficient operations.
- Develop and manage regional operating budgets to meet financial objectives.
- Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratios, market share, and sales/margin goals in alignment with preset standards, industry trends, and economic conditions.
- Provide training and direction for both new and existing sales team members.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and operations staff to ensure seamless communication.
- Lead customer acquisition efforts by sourcing, building, and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
- Guide and support team members in expanding the customer base.
- Maintain relationships with current customers through competitive analysis and excellent service delivery.
- Explore opportunities for additional business with existing clients.
- Conduct monthly financial analyses to evaluate the success of current customer profiles and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor and analyze current market rates offered by competitors to ensure competitive positioning.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data in CRM systems and other required programs.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all necessary documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
- Set and manage sales goals for specialized areas, including FTL (Full Truckload), Hyperlocal, and ODC (Over-Dimensional Cargo).
- Act as both a player and a coach by securing new business personally while also mentoring and supporting the sales team.
- This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on involvement to drive regional success and growth.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in regional or sales management, preferably in logistics or transportation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficient in financial analysis and budgeting.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and market analysis.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
