Chief Financial Officer - Construction Industry (20-25 yrs)

CFO to be based at Tanzania (East Africa)

Chartered Accountant with 20 to 25 yrs experience in Large Cement companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

- Oversee all company accounts and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and reports required by regulatory agencies.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting models.

- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and provide recommendations for improvement.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

- Establish and maintain internal control systems to ensure the integrity of financial information and compliance with laws and regulations.

- Ensure compliance with international and local financial regulations and standards.

Financial Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis, develop insights, and provide recommendations to senior management.

- Support strategic initiatives with financial planning and analysis.

Team Management:

- Lead and develop the finance team, providing training and support as necessary.

- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.

Audit & Taxation:

- Coordinate with external auditors and oversee audit processes.

- Manage taxation issues and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Cost Control:

- Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the companys actual performance compared to business plans.

- Work to reduce costs and improve profitability.
