Key Responsibilities:
Credit Evaluation and Approval:
Review and analyze credit applications and documentation for both personal and business loans.
Assess applicants' financial backgrounds, repayment capacity, creditworthiness, and business stability.
Approve or recommend credit decisions within delegated authority levels, ensuring alignment with bank policies.
Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with credit proposals.
Monitor overdue accounts and initiate recovery actions when required.
Regularly review and update risk management practices to adhere to changing policies and market conditions.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure that all credit decisions and recommendations are in line with internal credit policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain detailed and accurate records for each credit application.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regional and central credit teams.
Portfolio Management:
Maintain a healthy loan portfolio by managing existing clients' credit facilities and monitoring their repayment behavior.
Regularly review the branch's credit portfolio to ensure a balanced risk profile.
Conduct periodic reviews and follow-ups with clients, especially high-risk accounts, to minimize delinquency rates.
Collaboration and Relationship Management:
Work closely with branch staff and other departments to facilitate smooth credit operations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to promote trust and drive business growth.
Provide support and guidance to the branch team on credit-related matters.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and submit regular credit and risk reports to senior management.
Conduct trend analyses to identify potential risks and recommend necessary actions.
Provide insights and feedback to improve branch-level credit processes and performance.
