Manager - IT
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced professional with over 8 years of expertise to manage, maintain, and enhance our Windows server infrastructure and related technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Infrastructure Management:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot server performance, capacity, and reliability issues.
2. System Administration:
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Veeam and other tools.
- Perform OS patching, updates, and firmware upgrades to ensure system security and compliance.
- Administer and optimize file servers, print servers, and related services.
3. Security and Compliance:
- Enforce security best practices, including vulnerability management, access controls, and endpoint security measures.
- Participate in IT audits and IT compliance checks, ensuring systems meet organizational and regulatory standards.
4. Collaboration and Support:
- Provide Level 3 support for escalated issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for team use.
- Work closely with network, storage, and application teams to align infrastructure services with business needs.
5. Innovation and Improvement:
- Identify and recommend system improvements, including automation of repetitive tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
- Research and implement new technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server Administration.
- Expertise in managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.).
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Veritas).
- Need to have knowledge of O365 to handle any L2 escalation.
- Support for online meetings like Microsoft Team, Zoom & Webex.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid infrastructure.
- Understanding of ITIL practices and incident management workflows.
- Support for User Management, Incident Management, Asset Management, Security & Compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: MCSE, MCSA, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix, ManageEngine, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of storage solutions, networking fundamentals, and firewall configurations.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
